SIMPLICITY
SIMPLICITY
Blackness claims the innocence of expression
Chains enfold the desires of freedoms flight
Time forever curtailed into precise schedules
What is the idealism, a tainted vision
People boxed into conformity and uniformness
A world viewed through a cracked looking glass
Like the void it engulfs and devours
Destroying beauty of simplicity
A machine called modernization crawls forward
Taking the child, deforming the gift
Making us insects to crawl blindly onward
Until finally we perish without retribution
I hear a song singing silently almost a whisper
It calls to me urging, intoxicating so dear
The desire to drown in its pools overwhelm me
I am falling in love with a vision so clear
Beauty and simplicity to be seen as I came
No longer desolate, no longer any blame
I yearn for the dance, I ache for the cure
A life of acceptance, a world without restrictions
I want to be free, to grow, let me be
